Our Philosophy
At Highview Farm, the relationship between the horse and rider begins with respect for the horse.
The well-being of our horses comes first. We believe horses learn best when they are healthy, comfortable, mentally engaged, and treated as individuals.
Every horse has its own personality, history, strengths, and sensitivities. Understanding those differences helps guide how we train, teach, handle, and care for each horse.
Our goal is to develop willing, confident horses and thoughtful riders through patience, clear communication, consistency, and good horsemanship.

Good horsemanship begins with responsibility for the horse's physical and mental well-being. Training, riding, turnout, feeding, handling, and care should support the horse rather than simply focus on performance.
We believe that treating horses fairly and consistently creates better communication, greater confidence, and a stronger partnership between horse and rider.
Our Approach to Learning
Learning at an Individual Pace
Horses and riders do not all learn in the same way or at the same speed. Highview Farm emphasizes an environment where both can develop confidence and understanding without unnecessary pressure.
The goal is thoughtful progress, not simply moving through a predetermined schedule.
